Tournament Rules
There are 32 unique spots in the tournament. Therefore only 1 player per account is allowed per spot and a max of 1 account. It is known that some players do have more than 1 account, but only that said account that is registered is allowed. In other words, 1 person cannot be in the tournament operating more than 1 spot with different accounts. No IGN name change or account switch is allowed.
This action will be cause of immediate disqualification. Therefor it will trigger a re-evaluation of all matches that lead up to the action of suspicion. The WeChat/Discord/Facebook name noted in the submission form to which I will only communicate to and from must match. The discord alias will be the primary choice to communicate. The IGN and unique ID# typed in the submission form must match the screenshot of the player’s information screen. Only the player in the submission form will be credited.
If it is revealed even after the tournament that the “winner” is not who it is portrayed (with proof beyond a reasonable doubt), then the other fighter becomes the adjusted winner due to a disqualification action. Matcherino will be informed of such action and will start an investigation.
SPECIAL NOTICE ON ANTI CHEAT MECHANISM: If at any point, there is an instant KO when HP did not reach 0, the specific match restarts as it is a system error and not a hack. Send me a video of occurrence if there is a disagreement and I will make the discission.
GROUP STAGE
Groups: A / B / C / D / E / F / G / H
ONLY A CLASS champs are allowed in the Group Stage
Each group will have 4 fighters.
Each fighter will go against the other 3 two times. Each player takes turns in hosting a lobby. The TOP 2 fighters who has the most match wins will advance to the Round of 16. If there is a tie between players; the process will start again, but the total amount of wins will be added to determine the top 2 players. The tournament organizer will determine who goes first in hosting a lobby from the group stage and on if a decision is not made yet.
When the tournament starts and said players enters into a matchup and completes it, but no video has been submitted; the matches does not count until it is submitted. If a contestant enters into the tournament and is unreachable or is reachable but no matchup took place then it is equal (=) to the spot being vacant. If a matchup did take place and matches were transferred and noted, but there after the said participant exits the tournament; the remaining matchups will result in a forfeit and the remaining match points go to the opponent of said matchup(s).

When it comes to disconnecting. Only systematic disconnects are allowed. Meaning it is not voluntary and is not under any control. The network notice as it can also be unvoluntary, but unfortunately it can easily be done on purpose in simply disconnecting the nearby wireless router or switching networks while in game play in turn will reveal the network notice. Also it is expected of you to keep still. If you move; you increase the chance in receiving the network notice. If the specific notice comes up that is shown here; immediately screenshot the notice and send it to me WHILE THE MATCH IS TAKING PLACE and NOT afterwards. There is an updated rule when it comes to recording.
Excluding the Group Stage, Round of 16 and onwards is Best out of 5 matches.

RECORDING OF THE MATCH(ES)
It has been made clear of the importance of live recordings. In the growing concerns when matches are made from countries who are heavily affected by lag(delay); I am providing 2 options:
(PLEASE NOTE: INDEPENDENTLY EACH FIGHTER NEEDS TO PICK WHICH OPTION BEFORE THE MATCHUP TO THE TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER)
Option 1 - Live Record:
Live record the match which will provide accurate occurrences and error notices if any. It provides insurance to ensure a redo of a match. Without immediate proof with timestamp of a systematic error; the specific match will be counted as a loss. I will allow 1 systematic disconnect grace for the whole matchup for a redo of that specific match. You should start recording at champion select screen. It is your responsibility to optimize your phone and find out which network is best for you PRIOR the matchup. No excuses.
Option 2 - Shared Recording:
Shared recording of a shared match. This option involves risk to your progression as a live recording will take priority if your opponent shares a live recording. BOTH can provide a shared recording, but if there is a disconnect for ANY reason (This includes voluntary and non-voluntary); that player will have to take a loss. This option holds no insurance and this will need to be stated and agreed to before the matchup starts. Lag is an unavoidable situation that is not game specific. The organizer reserves the right to determine what is allowed and what is not.. Please do research on what will provide you with the best internet connection and be sure to optimize your phone before entering the tournament matches. VPN is allowed because it is a measure to improve on the lag/delay issue if NO PLUGIN / NO CHEAT CODE IS USED more than what is NORMAL, reflecting the programming intent.
ATTENTION: This applies to only players who are in a matchup with heavily affected delay. After the second match to which each fighter hosted their lobby; there will be a pause. BOTH FIGHTERS are then required to send their recordings to the tournament organizer to determine how the remaining matches will take place.
CODE OF CONDUCT
There will be no harassment, threats, intimidation, negative communication inside or outside the tournament. Competitive talk and statements of only pointing out a fact with proof beyond a reasonable doubt is allowed, but in a positive manner. No insults.
Combos in a pattern is not considered spam in any fighting game. Combos are meant to not have your opponent to block. The spam element was removed from the major update.
Players have the responsibility to demonstrate discipline, maturity, and the way to conduct themselves. Any trickery, covert action, and anything that will end in a negative and compromising condition towards a contestant, tournament organizer, the game itself and any other entity will result in an immediate disqualification. Again, the tournament organizer reserves the right to update the tournament rules, code of conduct, and process in the spirit to bring forth a fair and balanced activity.
Timing
All participants have the responsibility to always be available. We all work to maintain ourselves and our household. We have schedules that limit our tournament involvement, but does not excuse to not respond in an immediate or timely manner. All participants are expected to be proactive in scheduling their respective match ups with their opponent. I will assist, but I am not the one who will be fighting. Players have 24 hours to respond to each other. If 24 hours passes and no response is still not made; then the match strike will be issued and the other player present will receive 1 match point. Another message will be sent for a response with the remaining 24 hours to respond. Again if no response is made; then the last one of that matchup will be given to the opponent. If a fighter does not respond, be made available, or other that equals to not holding a match for 48 hours straight after notice/communication for the matchup; the full 2 point match up will be awarded to the other scheduled player. The process will repeat for the other 2 fighters. This is to balance out for any late responses, but have the opportunity to at least get matches in.
