Tournament Rules and Code of Conduct

Tournament Rules

There are 32 spots in the tournament. Therefore only 1 entity is allowed. It is understood of the reason why more than 1 person share an account, but when it comes to a tournament; it is cause for immediate disqualification. Therefor will trigger a re-evaluation of all matches that lead up to the action of suspicion. The only solution is, the Facebook name noted in the submission form, and the Facebook name to which I will only communicate to and from must match. The IGN and unique ID# typed in the submission form must match the screenshot of the player’s information screen. Only the player in the submission form will be credited. If it is revealed even after the tournament that the “winner” is not who it is portrayed (with proof beyond a reasonable doubt), then the other fighter becomes the adjusted winner due to a disqualification action.

Wildcard Participants:

Applies to fulfill a spot in the group stage.

In the Round of 16, if no match has started and an opponent exits; the fighter who scored the third highest in that said group stage will be appointed to the round of 16 spot. If the 3rd place ranked player in that said group is not available/not reachable; then the nearest geographical 3rd place contestant from the other groups will be contacted. The process will continue to the rest of the groups before issuing a recruiting post to obtain a new comer. If said opponent held (a) match(es) in the active round of 16 event and THEN exits the tournament, then the said matchup win will be given to the other player.

If a fighter exits the tournament from the quarter finals and on; then a replacement fighter will be inserted (If a wildcard player is found up to 1(one) weeks time in receiving an applicant. Group stage fighter balance does not apply.)If no wildcard player is found; then the win goes to the other player. If a wildcard player(who is new) is found, he/she will need to complete all matches that lead to that exiting players spot. There are no shortcuts in this tournament.

GROUP STAGE

Groups: A / B / C / D / E / F / G / H
ONLY A CLASS champs are allowed in the Group Stage

Each group will have 4 fighters.
Each fighter will go against the other 3 two times. Each player takes turns in hosting a lobby. The TOP 2 fighters who has the most match wins will advance to the Round of 16. If there is a tie between players; the process will start again, but the total amount of wins will be added to determine the top 2 players. The tournament organizer will determine who goes first in hosting a lobby from the group stage and on if a decision is not made yet.

When the tournament starts and said players enters into a matchup and completes it, but no video has been submitted; the matches does not count until it is submitted. If a contestant enters into the tournament and is unreachable or is reachable but no matchup took place then it is equal (=) to the spot being vacant. If a matchup did take place and matches were transfered and noted, but there after the said participant exits the tournament; the remaining matchups will result in a forfeit and the remaining match points go to the opponent of said matchup(s).

When is comes to disconnecting. Only systematic disconnects are allowed. Meaning it is not volunary and is not under any control. The network notice as it can also be unvoluntary, but unfortunately it can easily be done on purpose in simply disconnecting the nearby wireless router or switching networks while in game play in turn will reveal the network notice. Also it is expected of you to keep still. If you move; you increase the chance in receiving the network notice. If the specific notice comes up that is shown here; immidiately screenshot the notice and send it to me WHILE THE MATCH IS TAKING PLACE and NOT afterwards.

All players are responsible for live video recording their matches. There are very narrow and limited reasons as to why submitting shared videos. If a conestant after being told to live record, but refused to comply and submits a shared video instead; the video will only become valid if the opponent agrees with the match result. In said matchup, if player A submits a screen recording of said match and player B submits a shared recording of the same match; the decision will be made from Player A screen recording. Reason being is that live(screen) recording is 100% accurate as shared recording is 90% accurate.

Lag is an unavoidable situation that is not game specific. The organizer reserves the right to determine what is allowed and what is not. Disconnects of any kind other than systematic with proof, will result of automatic loss for that specific match, but not the whole matchup. Please do research on what will provide you with the best internet connection and be sure to optimize your phone before entering the tournament matches. IGN change is not allowed. VPN is allowed because it is a measure to improve on the lag issue if NO PLUGIN / NO CHEAT CODE IS USED OR OTHER THAT PROVIDES ANYTHING MORE than what is NORMAL, reflecting the programming intent.

CODE OF CONDUCT

There will be no harassment, threats, intimidation, negative communication inside or outside the tournament. Competitive talk and statements of only pointing out a fact with proof beyond a reasonable doubt is allowed, but in a positive manner. No insults. Combos in a pattern is not considered spam in any fighting game. Combos are meant to not have your opponent to block. The spam element was removed from the major update.

Players have the responsibility to demonstrate discipline, maturity, and the way to conduct themselves. Any trickery, covert action, and anything that will end in a negative and compromising condition towards a contestant, tournament organizer, the game itself and any other entity will result in an immediate disqualification. Again, the tournament organizer reserves the right to update the tournament rules, code of conduct, and process in the spirit to bring forth a fair and balanced activity.

Timing

All participants have the responsibility to be available at all times. We all work to maintain ourselves and household. We have schedules that limit our tournament involvement but does not excuse to not respond in an immediate manner. All participants are expected to be proactive in scheduling their respective match ups with their opponent. I will assist, but I am not the one who will be fighting. Players have 24 hours to respond to each other. If 24 hours passes; a warning of a match point strike will be issued. If no response is still not made; then the match strike will be issued. Screen recorded matches are strongly recommended to be uploaded right after the match. I will allow up to 12 hours from the matchup to upload the said match, otherwise the match will need to be redone. Both players are expected to record so this situation does not happen. If a fighter does not respond, be made available, or other that equals to not holding a match for 48 hours straight after notice/communication for the matchup; will be then considered vacant and wildcard process will begin.

Tournament Process

Step 1
Contestant signs up at: soulwarriorglobal.com(site will play the game intro but have the option to skip).

Step 2
Player registers via the JotForm link (agrees to rules and process). Player will submit their Facebook Name and current In Game Name (No IGN changes while in the tournament.
This will be done until all 32 players are reached.

Step 3
Internal preparation will be done.

Step 4
Facebook post on when the tournament starts and the timeframes to which it will be active. The initial announcement would be for the group stage. This will be the most active and crucial part of the tournament.

Step 5
After the matchup, usually the winner uploads, but either player can submit all of the matches through the upload link found next to the standing sections above. Only players of the tournament will get entry credentials to upload the videos. Videos will be processed in a timely manner and uploaded to the tournament youtube channel and posted in the Final Fighter Soul Warrior facebook community and The Final Fighter Official Community to see. It will also be displayed at the respective matchup sections above. After all videos are completed, an announcement will take place for the next round. The process will repeat until all stages are complete.

Stages are:
1. Group
2. Round of 16
3. Quarter Finals
4. Semi - Finals
5. Match for 3rd Place
6. Finals

Step 6
Winner will be posted on the tournament website, facebook pages and in the youtube channel.

Video Sharing
During each stage (Group, Round of 16, Guarter Finals, Semi Finals, 3rd Place, Finals) Matches are to be held secret up until the video is posted on the youtube channel and on the tournament website. After the specific videos are posted, those videos are considered public view and no longer classified. Live recording the match is required to keep the process secured. Sharing to the world chat is not allowed. Sharing to the guild is not recommended because it is 98% accurate.
